A museum on two floors with associated ancillary rooms. The building is a former ice warehouse with two large ice wells beneath. The walls are of brick and floors are solid. There is a fine timber roof and colourful canal exhibits. A narrowboat cabin is located on the ground floor. There are small rooms used for archives and storage and office use.
