LOC2590: Welsh castle from 1812 (Abergele, Wales)

Originally built between 1812 and 1822, with additions being added right up until the 1870s. It was used to house Jewish refugees during the Second World War. In the latter half of the 20th Century, the castle had many uses and was open for twenty years as ‘The Showplace of Wales’. Prince Valiant was filmed at the Castle, starred Edward Fox and Joanna Lumley.
