LOC1597: Romanesque style Cathedral (Hampshire)

Begun in 1079 in the Romanesque style this Cathedral was greatly extended in the 13th century to include the Retrochoir. The Chantry Chapel is an amazing hybrid of English late Gothic and Continental Renaissance style deriving ultimately from Fontainebleau. Nearby, the long, timber-framed priory stables were built around 1500. Great crypt. (Hampshire)
