The entire area is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with direct access to the Jurassic Coast, the famous geological landmark arch and two pristine shingle beaches. The cove pebble beach by virtue of its natural protection is very sheltered. The steps at the East end of the beach lead to a stunning cliff walk but it is only open at weekend due to MOD practises.
